Choosing a black and white interior design
A black-and-white interior, despite the limited number of colors used, is extremely difficult to create, and only a highly qualified designer can cope with this task. The fact is that in this situation it is necessary to make sure that these two colors opposite in palette are not only organically combined, but also complement each other, create a unity of composition.
The classic and perhaps the most popular combination of colors was black and white. This combination made it possible to play on the unity of opposites, when black complemented white, and vice versa, creating a uniquely harmonious composition that was considered the standard of sophistication of taste. This moment became decisive when using these colors in interior design, which at all times surprised with their elegance, fascinating minimalism and beauty.
In addition, it is necessary to make sure to use the advantages of white or black to the fullest, because, for example, a small room decorated with white tones visually expands, and black color allows you to create a play of light and shadow, visually hiding the interior flaws that appear due to an unsuccessful room layout.
Objects such as curtains, paintings, carpets should be carriers of white in the interior. They create a feeling of weightlessness, unprecedented lightness, allow you to feel the aura of harmony. At the same time, more “weighty” items, such as furniture, should be decorated in black tones. This makes it possible to make the interior composition complete and organic, graphically verified and not straining the human eye, because it has been proven that the abundance of white tires and causes a feeling of discomfort. In addition, the black color allows, on the one hand, to highlight individual objects on a white surface, and on the other hand, to hide some shortcomings of their shape.
